Analysis is a CPU-bound operation. Disabling analysis during performance is a crude way of preventing stuttering. If you started developing Serato today, I daresay you'd do it differently, but remember: Serato runs on multiple versions of multiple operating systems, which all have different scheduling algorithms. Re-Analyze Files. Previously analyzed tracks can be re-analyzed by dragging the track, selection of tracks or entire Crate to the Analyze Files button. NOTE: Re-analyzing will not analyze any Locked tracks. Analysis Settings. Check this option to ensure Serato DJ Lite calculates the BPM while analyzing files.

Do you ever find that you've analysed a track and it's saying 130 BPM but you want it at 65 BPM. Keen to halve or double this?

1. Mixed In Key can also accurately analyze BPM and other information. Here's a fairly straightforward guide to using Mixed In Key. When you first start Mixed in Key, it gives you the option to Analyze all your files by either: dragging them in or importing your entire library.
2. The best way to do this is to Analyze your files before starting to mix. If you start up Serato DJ before you plug in the DJ-808, Serato DJ will start in offline mode and you will see a button above your library to analyze your files. In the drop-down menu you can choose what you are analyzing, but we suggest analyzing BPM and key.

This is common for a lot of newer Jersey club and rap songs with halftime breakdowns. You can set your BPM range when you analyse your files to make sure everything is what it should be but there are occasions where you may want to manually half or double the tempo of your tracks for other reasons...

Analyzing Files In Half Bpm Serato Software

Maybe you want to see a 65 BPM song next to your 130 BPM tracks so you can drop down to 65 BPM easily?

Well instead of having to type the halved tempo (too much maths!) in to the BPM field you can simply double click the BPM field and press (Alt) + (Up Arrow) or (Alt) + (Down Arrow) to (up) double or (down) halve the value.

Bonus, you can do this for multiple files at once too!

Your beat grid will be adjusted to, just be sure that's what you want :)
